Hi Mr. Roman. What a delight to find your
article on the web. My daughter-in-law found it while looking for
any Dugan bakery memorabilia. My father was David H. Dugan Jr. who
was the last president of the company taking over for his dad who
began the business in 1878.
We grew up with plenty of the products on our table and of course,
we each (6 kids) had our favorites. Mine was the butter coffee cake
but I sure would take one of those cupcakes right now.
I will pass your article on to the rest of the family. You may
