LIKE IT WAS GREAT. I AM SURE YOU WILL REMEMBER IT FOR ALONG TIME.
I ALWAYS SEEM HAVE TO HAVE OTHER THINGS GOING ON. PREOCCUPIED AND
MISS OUT ON THE THINGS THAT MATTER, ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENTS. ANYWAY,
I CAN SEE IT THROUGH YOUR DESCRIPTIONS AT LEAST
THANKS
TONY D.
Sam Lisanti:
Hi Jule and All.
Was at the NJ PAC last night also. She was terrific! Singing MAMA.
I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. The show was great.
Sam:
Forgot to mention when Mayor James was on stage he said there were
a group of fans from the Ironbound section sitting behind him.
Nicky G:
Jules I know you had a great time seen her down here in Florida
last year
Tell me one thing where is the Arts Center. might have not been
there in my days
SAM:
There were also Long Stem Roses given to each Lady or each person.
We presented them to Connie Francis. She was very gracious accepting
them. Beautiful evening. Have not been in Newark for years. Really
enjoyed it very much. Sat next to a man from Denver Colorado who
Follows Connie where ever she goes.
Jule Spohn:
Hello Nicky. The NJPAC is on Park Place, across the street from
the back side of Military Park and across the street from the Robert
Treat Hotel. They tore down the old Military Park hotel to make
room for it. On that street starting at Rector Street, across from
the YMCA is the Syndham House, the Firemen's Insurance building,
and then the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. It occupies the
area from Park Place back to Rector Street and from the Insurance
company building down to McCarter Hwy. It is a very beautiful building
and it was the beginning of the turn-around in Newark starting about
5 years ago. They have all the top-notch performers and shows there.
A great plus for Newark.
Jule Spohn:
Hello again. Just want to add something to what Sam said about what
happened when Mayor James was on the stage. When he mentioned Down
Neck, the whole place went nuts with applause and people were hooping
and hollering it up.
