Columnist Robert Rastelli, in posting The Tavern pie recipe, included this
word of caution:
"The recipe...uses raw eggs. If anyone has a compromised immune system or allergies or intolerance to eggs, they should not eat this pie. Substitute a prepared pasteurized product available in any grocery store."
