Naturally I, and every other member of the Betty Lytle Dance and Figure Club at the New Dreamland Arena skated on Betty Lytle skates.

While serving at an Army air base in Belem, Brazil during World War II, I was responsible for having a roller skating floor constructed in an abandoned airplane hanger on the air base, to be used for the recreation of the American servicemen stationed there. On the day the floor was completed, I had already received my Betty Lytle Shoe Skates in the mail from home and was the first one to try out the new floor.
